to ask the question, "Where did God come today and offer a change of direction or instruction?" |
I've
an endless file of journal notes, poems, IRS reports, stories, letters,
memoirs, which, if I have more years, may be rewritten. Journals must not
be rewritten. That would be the critic's choice, not mine.
The best advice I've had in writing classes has been, reread, rewrite and rewrite."
That may be good advice for all of us – to re-read our lives, to remake in the present what can be redeemed.
As Forgiveness. Forgive. Settle accounts. Give words of encouragement.
Do what's been left undone. look for new adventure. The list may be long. Time is short.
Adaline writes from Northbrook Il where she leads journal workships,
