Life is a wondrous experience!
I thank God for the daily privilege
of just being alive and being part
of the ongoing, unfolding miracle.
I believe that this life is but a chapter
in a much longer story. Why then should
I be wary of the todays or afraid of the
tomorrows? I can only live in this day
and for this day therefore I must give it
my best shot. I can only try to be collected
and sensitive and gutsy enough to see things
which happen to me and those important to
me "against the backdrop of eternity" to
borrow a phrase from Douglas Steere.
And I think, in fact I'm sure, that is faith
not fatalism.
