Holy God, love calls us to
your temple,
generations guided by your
law,
glimpsing in the eyes of those
around us
signs that you are present
with us now.
Purify our hearts, and make
our offerings true
as we gather here to worship
you.
Holy God, hope calls us to
your temple,
bringing both our questions
and our faith.
Still we yearn with prophets
for salvation,
still we claim the goodness of
your grace.
May the lives we lead find
favor in your eyes.
Help us grow, like Jesus,
strong and wise.
Holy God, work calls us to
your temple,
prayers to make, and bread and
wine to share,
friend and foe both hungry for
compassion,
peace to win and justice to
restore.
Let your loving kindness flow
out from this place.
Fashion us as vessels of your
grace.
Holy God, the whole earth is
your temple,
riverbanks and deserts are
your schools,
people of all creeds your sons
and daughters,
swallows in their nests your
creatures, too.
May each child, each atom,
each day new again,
come to sing your praise.
Amen. Amen.
