Robert Banks is currently teaching in Australia. He was formerly part of the Executive Team in the De Pree Leadership Center, and Professor of Lay Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is well-known as an author and speaker on issues relating to faith, work, leadership and lifestyle. Look for The Complete Book of Everyday Christianity from IVP which he co-edited with Paul Stevens.

Marjory Zoet Bankson is retired as editor of Faith@Work magazine after 21 years of faithful leadership. She continues to be an active retreat leader. She retired as President of Faith at Work in 2001 after 16 years of service. She is a 1961 graduate of Harvard, with an M.A. from the University of Alaska and post-grad work at Virginia (Episcopal) Seminary. Marjory's fourth book is entitled, The Call of the Soul. Her other books are Braided Streams, Seasons of Friendship, and This Is My Body, and is a contributor to Rattling the Dry Bones: Women Changing the Church (all available through FAW). Marjory is a regular preacher and teacher at her church, The Seekers Church, an innovative worshipping community in the tradition of Church of the Saviour in Washington DC. Adaline Bjorkman led journal workshops, taught creative writing and LifeStory writing in her retirement home, did grief work, wrote stories for children and volunteered in an Intergenerational Partnership. She died January 14, 2002. Read some memories of her in the Spring 2002 issue.

Nancy Boyle is a workshop leader, teacher and Christian Education Consultant living in Columbia SC. She is a former chair of the FAW Board and a member of the Elder Council.

Ruth Butler is a retired teacher, children's literature specialist and Episcopalian from Topsfield MA. Ruth contributed book reviews in the magazine regularly through 2001.

Angier Brock teaches poetry at Virginia Commonwealth University, is active at the St Michael's Episcopal Church in Bon Air VA and a former former member of the F@W Board of Directors.

Ann Loar Brooks has an M.A. in Church Ministries and has served as the director of Christian education for parishes within the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. She writes from Baltimore MD.

Julie Gochenour, contributing editor for F@W Magazine, is both an Episcopalian and a member of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Julie works for the Virginia Center for Health Outreach at James Madison University and she and her husband live on the family farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Susan Gregg-Schroeder is former minister of Pastoral Care and Spiritual Formation at 1st United Methodist Church of San Diego CA. Susan has just completed a study guide for her book In the Shadow of God's Wings: Grace in the Midst of Depression

Jen Lemen is a writer, labor doula and artist. She writes about children and spirituality from her home in Silver Spring MD.

Karl A. Olsson (1913-1996) devoted most of his working time to writing and conducting workshops and institutes in relational Bible study. His four books (available from FAW) Come to the Party, Find Yourself in the Bible, Meet Me on the Patio, and When the Road Bends, all seek to explain, interpret and apply relational theology to everyday life. Prior to 1970, Karl gave his time largely to teaching and educational administration on the staff at the University of Chicago and North Park College and Theological Seminary in Chicago, the latter of which he served as president from 1959 to 1970. He and his wife Sally have four children and nine grandchildren. Karl died in June, 1996. 

Richard C. Meyer is the regular "Small Group" columnist for Faith At Work magazine. He is the Director of the One Anothering Institute in Omaha NE and author of 4 books, One Anothering, vol 1, 2 & 3 and Step Up. For easy reference to Dick's articles in the magazine, check out his personal page.  

Mark Nilson is enjoying a second year as Sr. Pastor of First Covenant Church, Seattle WA. his wife Robin works at Seattle Design Center. Together they ahve two sons: Aaron studying history in Chicago and Chase loving life as an eighth grader at home.

Tom Ott has been serving in parish ministry since 1981 and currently lives with his wife Patrice in Webster New York where he has been serving as the pastor of the United Church of Christ since 1996. In addition to parish ministry, he has worked as a Limited Licensed Psychologist and substance abuse counselor in a community mental health agency.

The Rev. Donna Schaper is the Senior Minister of Judson Memorial Church in NYC. She and her husband Warren live in NYC. She is the former  Executive Director of the Western Massachusetts Women's Fund and part-time pastor of a local church. She also pastored Coral Gables UCC Church in Miami FL and was the Area UCC Minister for Western Massachusetts with 125 churches in her charge. Three of her books are available from FAW: The Culture of Disbelief: Sermonds for Lent/Easter (Cycle B), Sabbath Sense: A Spiritual Antidote for the Overworked, and Keeping Sabbath. Robert E. Slocum is both an "ordinary Christian" as a Presbyterian layman and a high-tech entrepreneur as founder of Polatomic, Inc., a Dallas TX company that specializes in new product development. Bob also co-teaches a Ministry of the Laity course at Fuller Seminary. His book Maximize Your Ministry is being reprinted and will be available through FAW.

Lee Van Ham belongs to Jubilee Economic Ministries, a Chicago-based intentional community and recently moved to San Diego CA.

 

Paul Welter has recareered after a long tenure at the Univ of Nebraska at Kearney. He still teaches "Learning from Children" there, and leads seminars. Paul's radio show airs especially for farmers and truckers on several midwest stations. He also consults with businesses and organizations in the area of work-weariness. Rosemary Williams is the director of Women's Perspective. She is also a financial planner in Connecticut.

 

 
David Davies is co-owner of Soul Desires bookstore in Omaha NE with his wife, the Rev. Susan Davies.

Cathy Barsotti is an instructor for Centro Hispano de Estudios Teologicos - a Latino Ministry training center in southeast Los Angeles. Rob Johnston is Professor of Theology and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. His books include Reel Spirituality (Baker, 2000) and Life Is Not Work/Work Is Not Life; Simple Reminders for Finding Balance in a 24/7 World (Wildcat Canyon, 2001). Their reviews can also be seen in The Covenant Companion.

Cathy and Rob recently published two books connecting film, faith and life. Finding God in the Movies and Useless Beauty. Both of these are available from Faith At Work.

Doug Wysockey-Johnson is the Executive Director of Faith At Work and editor of Faith@Work magazine.. He is a Covenant pastor having served congregations in Vermont & Massachusetts. He and his wife Kathryn live in Richmond VT with their two children, Isabel and Soren.
