Putting Your Faith To Work In The World
Hear, understand and act on your call in the world. We can help you learn to listen for God in all things: work and play, in community and solitude, locally and globally. Gain the community support you need to live into your call.
Asking the Questions
Sometimes your call will be about the large social issues of the day, and how we are asked to participate. Sometimes you may have questions about your personal or communal practices: how am I praying these days? Are we living a sustainable life? Other times you may ask simple and mundane, yet important questions: How do I use my limited free time this weekend? Should I buy this new (gizmo/used car/computer), or can I make do with what I have? Perhaps questions were brought up for you as you read Brian McLaren's Everything Must Change, or as you attended the Tour event. FAW names these "Call" questions, and encourages you to engage with them as you put your faith, and call, to work in the world.
Resourcing
Faith at Work's events, quarterly magazine and resources provide:
- experiences of hearing call;
- tools for discerning call;
- organizational training for those offering call-supportive structures to others.
